Instrument Service & Repair

We stock a wide range of spare parts and accessories not only for guitars, but also for various other instruments. And having been in business for decades, we've accumulated all kinds of odds-and-sods that have bailed out many a musician with last-minute requests. We get it that some things can't wait, so if there's anything we can do for you, we'll do our best.

We often have a number of repairs waiting in the cue, but in most cases we can have your repair completed and your instrument ready for pick-up within 24 hours.

At our discretion, we do countless on-the-spot quick jobs that include parts-only costs ... but if time doesn't allow or your repair is more elaborate you'll need to book your instrument in. Quality work on instruments is never rushed.

Flat-fee includes: restring - spot-check & adjustment of minor issues - clean & polish of fingerboard surface - general clean of instrument ... does NOT include strings' cost.

ADDITIONAL SET-UP WORK FOR GUITARS

Minimum fee for minor repairs ------- $12.00

We're more than happy to provide a general approximation of costs for any job, but we need to actually see your instrument to assess it's current condition and the work it requires.

* AMPLIFICATION *

McCann's only accept client's amplifiers that require warranty service.

Although we occasionally carry out a range of minor repairs to amps, we refer the majority of major technical issues to a qualified technician. Please contact us if you have any questions.

GOOD TO KNOW: If you don't know what you're doing, don't attempt an amp repair by yourself. They might sound awesome and look like a shrine to tone, but under the hood there's a hazardous can of worms. Best leave it to professionals.


* PIANOS & PIANO TUNING *

Warranty and non-warranty piano service are generally performed on-site by a qualified repairer. Please contact us in-store for this service - and for any piano-tuning.



* ELECTRONIC KEYBOARDS *

We only accept electronic keyboard repairs that require warranty service.
ALL other service issues are refered to a qualified repairer. Please contact us in-store for details.



* BRASS & WOODWIND *

We only accept brass & woodwind instrument repairs that require warranty service.
ALL other service issues are refered to a qualified repairer. Please contact us in-store for details.


* PIANO & BUTTON ACCORDIANS *

We able to perform a range of repairs on-site for these types of instruments. Please contact us in-store for this service.
